January - Memorial to Bonne McDannald - see you tube video Bonne McDannald Memorial Exhibit January 14th – February 25th Bonne McDannald - memorial exhibit. A long time Westerville Art League member who passed away one year ago. 20 pieces of her watercolors and paintings will be on display at the gallery during the month of January and February (some limited hours in January, regular in February) January 14th – February 25th.( Hours Wednesday 12-6, Thursday-Friday 12-4, Saturday 11-3, open for community events and by appointment.) Uptown Gallery Summer Camps Sign up NOW– 10 weeks of camps offered in visual arts and theatre. visual and theater art camps continue this year with Columbus Children’s Theatre, Young Rembrandts and Gallery 202 artists. Join us for fun weekly lessons. Morning and afternoon sessions, different camps for ages 5 – 15 Name of Event: Beauty is in the Art of the Beholder! Exhibit of Ugly Ties and Aprons Sorry this has been postponed due to a change is schedule. April is Art Month at Gallery 202 · Times of Event: April 1-30th, Hours Wednesday 12-6, Thursday-Friday 12-4, Saturday 11-3, open for community events and by appointment. April is Art month in Westerville so there will be lots of art! The gallery will have its annual chair is art exhibit, creating banners for the lampposts and more. We’ve brought back the wonderful children’s exhibit from Columbus Public Schools Arts program. Name of Event: Underwater Photography – Cheryl Kneisley June 3rd – 27th, Hours Wednesday 12-6, Thursday-Friday 12-4, Saturday 11-3, open for community events and by appointment. Collection of underwater photography from local artist Cheryl Kneisley depicting her experiences in scuba diving. Wild Women Mystery Art Hunt June 17th 6pm 10pm Our second summer wild women event. Join us for a mystery art hunt through town. Going to the Dogs with James Atwood Aug. 5th-29th , , Hours Wednesday 12-6, Thursday-Friday 12-4, Saturday 11-3, open for community events and by appointment. Our favorite 80 year old artist, a local legend who has been teaching art and creating art for decades. Normally he has a variety of landscapes and animal art but this time, he will concentrate on man’s best friend. James is a frequent visitor to the Dog Park with his companion Fred so you may recognize some of your own man’s best friends in his artwork. Wild Women Dog Days August 19th 6pm 10pm What better to do on hot August nights than to get a group of friends together and have fun! Join us for a dog day exploration of Uptown and more. $5 ticket Paintings by Chuck Woelfel September 23rd – October 31st , , Hours Wednesday 12-6, Thursday-Friday 12-4, Saturday 11-3, open for community events and by appointment. Come and enjoy the works by local artist Chuck Woelfel, Secret Santa Dec 4th – 23rd Secret Santa is for kids of all ages. Click here for You Tube link.	Mary Ann Titus- October 2008 - Out of the Depths: Perspectives on the Human Experience An exhibit of fiber art by Westerville resident, MaryAnn Titus . She has exhibited in several local galleries as well as in Cleveland. Her work has been called “powerful,” “moody and emotionally evocative” by the Columbus Dispatch. This exhibit featured a series of small collages based on a Rumi poem, “Jars of Springwater are Not Enough.” These pieces, composed of fabric and glossy paper torn from magazines, reveal the pain and the hope inherent in the human experience. MaryAnn was joined in the exhibit by her 13 year-old grandson, Aaron Collet. Quilting for a little over a year, Aaron’s current work is about deep space, the wonders of black holes and super novas. His pieces added, literally, a further dimension to the exhibit.
	Jim Atwood: September 2008 This is Jim's second exhibt at the gallery. Showcasing many recent small works of birds and landscapes, Jim continues to produce exquisite techniquely crafted watercolors and oils.
	Cheryl Kneisely August 2008 A display of underwater photography by Cheryl using a film camera. Works are on display at the gallery in the gift shop. The colors, subject matter and beauty of the often unexplored world are beautifully displayed. Click her for more...
	Passages: What's your next game plan....July 2008 Passages VI explored major changes in our life. Children leaving the nest is normal but doesn’t mean it is easy. This year’s theme was based off my youngest son going to college (now a junior – oh my!). Now what am I to do? Of course, I will continue to grow and live my life but the opportunities are now open and endless – which game plan will I take?
	Women in Westerville - July 2007 Women of Westerville - artwork created to tell the story about ourselves or about a special woman in Westerville.
	Beaded Pouch, June, 2007 What does one do with bits and pieces of cloth, old magazines, empty cookie bags or even a tea bag? By adding at least one bead to a “pouch” and inserting a positive word or statement, any one can take part in a traveling exhibit known as the Beaded Pouch.
	THINK PINK May 20, 12-5pm, 2007 and 2008 was a success - a fun event combining art with a market day......see the pictures....

	Passages: Staying Connected and Champagne and Chocolate Gala - at Concord Counseling Services was held Oct, 15th, 2-4pm, Click her for all the DETAILS Our gala was a success and we were able to raise funds for Concord Counseling's ASAP program and for Gallery 202.
Press/Cols Dispatch Press/This Week Press/SNP	He Said She Said............An Investigation of the Human Form This was an exhibit on how two different artists look at the same subject. This exhibit looked at the human form from the viewpoint of two different artists: a man's view and a woman's view. One artist explores the form in very colorful two dimensions and the other takes the exploration into an unusual third dimension.
OLP Press	Otterbein Lake Project Fund Raising Otterbein Lake Project - We had an ongoing silent auction to benefit the Otterbein Lake Project. Affortable art and helping out a special community project at the same time. We raised a total of $1500 dollars.
Quilt Press	AQA - Art Quilt Alliance - Quilt Exhibition Art Quilt Alliance presented an exhibition of members art quilts , March 2006 Quilts from 70x60 to 12x12. Incredibly beautiful examples using beading, weaving strips, traditional and non-traditional techniques.
Poster	Duxberry Park Arts I.M.P.A.C.T. Elementary School Artist Showcase Event - Duxberry Park Arts I.M.P.A.C.T. Elementary School is truly an arts centered elementary school. Music, Dance, Theatre and Visual Arts are all a part of this Columbus City Elementary School. A special exhibit was held to celebrate this school and its students in February, 2006. www.columbusdispatch.com/weekender by Michele Lemmon. PTA press release	The National PTA Reflections Cultural Arts Competition - Held - January 11 - 28, 2006 , 2007 and 2008!. 2009 - Dec 10- January 10th, 2009 Gallery 202 co-op was pleased to host the 2005-2006. 	Disaster Relief Free Concert December 10, 2005. A free concert was held to benefit those in need. Although the weather was cold, and many other activities were also going on, we were able to raise $425 and enjoyed an incredible concert with Hands for Harmony and the Missing Link Ensemble. Thanks to everyone
	Brush off Stroke Fundraiser, November 2005 Thanks to the efforts by Anne VanBuskirk, over $900 dollars were raised for the American Stroke Association.
	Uptown Scarecrows October 2005 and again in October 2006! thanks to the Uptown merchants for helping to create a festive but maybe "scarey" time during Midnight Madness!
