Commission Application:

1.              Patrons who request commission artwork in general* will be given a minimum of three artist names to consider.  Each artist will contact the patron and provide necessary information to that patron.  Once the patron/consigner has selected an artist that artist must contact the gallery and include the artwork to be commission, dates, price and any other information related to that project.  If an artist does not wish or feel it is appropriate for them to complete this commission, please notify Gallery 202, Partners in Art, Inc. directly so another artist may be given the chance to compete for this commission.

 

2.              Gallery 202 will be the recipient of all payments.  Gallery 202, Partners in Art, Inc. will deduct 20% from the final payment and pay the artist after final payment is received.  If the work is not completed as agreed upon between artist and patron, Gallery 202 will still receive the 20% commission based off the original agreed upon amount.

 

3.              Artist must only use the Gallery 202 name , address, website when providing contact information for the patron.   However, provide both the gallery telephone number and yours  for contact and both the gallery and yours emails as well.

 

4.              Artist retains copyright of commission art work but must provide Gallery 202, Partners in Art, Inc. with photographs of the finish work. Artist agrees to allow Gallery 202, Partners in Art, Inc. permission to use  any photographs for publicity purposes.

 

5.              Artists must have their own vendors license.  Artist are responsible for all supplies, taxes, schedules to complete work etc. required by the individual commission.  Gallery 202, Partners in Art, Inc and any related businesses, will not be held responsible for any contract dispute between artist and consigner/patron, for any liabilities with the artwork or any other issue that may arise regarding this commission artwork.

* if a patron request a specific artist, the artist is contacted first and given first right of refusal. Commission is per their regular contract.
