Young Photographers Classes

If you’re a teenager, or have one in the house, and interested in becoming a better photographer, we’ve got a class for you. This three-hour class, designed to help any level teenage photographer, starts with the basics, and finishes with personal critiques of simple lessons sent weekly to each student.

We’ll have hands-on demonstrations using high-end digital SLR cameras and lower-end point & shoot cameras. Each student will get to shoot a subject, see the result and watch as it is processed for best reproduction using Photoshop and online editing tools. There will be a brief discussion of iPhone and other smart phone cameras and how they can be used as daily substitutes for professional gear....and lots more!


Parents:
One of the discussions will center on Social Media (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Google+) and its impact on your child’s photography and how they are portrayed in their photography. This is an important issue and deserves discussion to help your child cope with the difficulties of the Web.
The followup lesson plan will be presented online. Student’s photos and response critiques will be done via email. Any public display of your child’s work and associated comments will be done only with your permission.
