February 2, 2004 - Final Mailing for Passages Trust and Surrendar

Well, it's that time. Some of you are relaxing, some of your may be a bit stressed but we are officialy at the end of the mailings. This week, you should be mailing your last piece back to the original creator. Now is the time to examine your own work, tweak it if you need to, and enjoy the final steps.

We will be having a special preview party in April, 2004. Tentative date is April 18th, mid afternoon. I am working on some final plans for the location and need to know how you would like to proceed.

Option A:
A limitied number of invited guests for a sit down dinner - each artist may invite an additional 2 people/ at $15/person. -we do have a seating limitation and I have taken into account that some of our out of town artists may not be able to attend.
OR
B. A buffet type event, suggested donation $5/person. Number may be unlimited but the space is smaller so there will be alot of coming and going I suspect.

PLEASE NOTE: RSVP's will be needed for either event, although there is some adjustments made right up until the last day.

I will need to have all the artwork by mid April, preferably by the 12th. You may drop it off or mail it to my home address. I will not show pieces off and will keep them a secret from every one (yes, even Connie). If you have a suggestion or a specific way that you want your piece display, let me know. I have at least 6 pillars and 6-8 mannequins and will set up each piece to it's advantage.

We already have the High Road Gallery for August. Once I see all the pieces, I will be able to tell you in April, how many addtional pieces we may need for the Augst event and you may have an opportunity to show and sell some other works. In order to be a participant in the High Road Gallery exhibit rotation, they require volunteers to sit in the gallery during it's open hours.... it's only open I believe wednes through saturday for limited hours. There will be a sign up sheet much closer to the August event. We will also have to provide the food and drink for the opening and more will be coming on that.

Oh yes, and thanks to Kriss Jenny Case, we were contacted by Women's Day magazine to be a line or two in an article about women's creativity circles..... whether we end up on the page or on the cutting room floor, we won't know. But it was nice to be contacted.

This process has been incredible in both growth , frustration, joy and so much more. Plan on celebrating the creativity of women, of friends and artists.

A hint at a partially complete piece.

A different kind of journal.
