How do we connect each other?

I recently had a very interesting discussion with three Otterbein leaders who posed the following: How to we really know what is out there in Westerville for the arts and how do we help people to understand the differences between similar groups? An idea was proposed to get all the groups together to just explain their organization, to talk about their strengths, their wish list and perhaps their worries. A fact finding mission so to speak. Basically, if we know who each other is, we may also find out that we have similar needs or actually can help fulfill the needs of each other. It isn't necessarily a time for complaining but just explaining.

I would like to see this type of "summit". I would like to know anyone who is interested in helping to set up such a program.

let me know by comment below or email me at Renee@gallery202online.com

  • Set up a BBS type of system where questions and many answers can be posted. Then reread and archives are formed, that can be referenced.

Then have an artist trading/selling board with a small percentage of money if a trade is made going to the arts. This doesn't have to be restricted to art supllies, just restricted to artists.

  • A summit is thinking large which I encourage. But we need a draw, whether it be food or whatever, I always enjoy lunch and art talk.
